Magnolia Art Exchange 2026

Day 1

I've made several drives to The Max now.

I set up my space. That part matters.
Space matters.

I walk the park.
I make my first marks.

I believe walking the land brings you into communion with it.
The land begins to show you things.
It begins to tell you things.
It reveals its character slowly and, in the process, reveals parts of yourself to you as well.

When you walk and pray and pay attention, you start to notice the rhythm.
The same path changing day after day.
Month after month.
Year after year.

That kind of repetition unlocks something inside us.
It teaches us patience.
It teaches us how to see beyond first impressions.

Some things can’t be understood at first glance.
You have to keep showing up to receive the message.

It’s like a relationship.
A good friendship doesn’t reveal everything all at once.
A meaningful book.
A good film.
Even love.

Nothing worth knowing gives itself away immediately.

You show up.
You walk.
You listen.
And over time, something opens.

That’s where the revelation lives.
