"Let Down Your Nets" from the "Portals of Perception" Series

Inspired by the moment when Jesus asks the disciples to cast their nets once more after a night of empty fishing, this diptych captures the essence of faith, trust, and unseen possibilities. The vibrant, swirling colors represent the invisible made visible, a miraculous catch that materializes where there seemed to be none. The layered brushstrokes and textures evoke the movement of water and the richness beneath the surface, inviting viewers to look beyond what is immediately apparent. Luke 5:4-6 (NIV):
When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch." Simon answered, "Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets." When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.
